Mya-Moe news
- April Artist-of-the-Month: Matt Dahlberg
Apr 1, 2013
We met Matt a few years ago, not long after we started Mya-Moe. Since then, we’ve all evolved a bit--Matt has recorded, written songs, gotten married, and now teaches ukulele (via Skype) full-time! Unfortunately, this keeps Matt mostly away from ukulele festivals, which is a shame as he lights up the stage when he performs. We can’t wait to see where Matt takes this instrument over the next several years. For more, click here.

- February Artist-of-the-Month: Peter Luongo
Jan 31, 2013
We’ve known Peter since close to the beginning of Mya-Moe, and there is no-one outside our company that has had more influence on the design of our Classic. We brought our earliest prototypes to our first meeting with Peter, and left with our heads between our legs! But, it motivated us to not think of the ukulele as a small guitar, but to approach its design in a whole new way. This is one of the largest factors behind the Mya-Moe tone. - January Artist-of-the-Month: John Roderick
Dec 30, 2012
We first met John when his band, The Long Winters, opened for Mumford & Sons a couple of years ago. Musically, you never know where he’ll pop up--be it playing with John Hodgeman, recording a video for The Fretboard Journal, or releasing an album with Jonathan Coulton. John has been a great help to Mya-Moe, introducing us to several artist who now play our ukuleles. Read more about John here.
- December Artist-of-the-Month: Brook Adams
Nov 30, 2012
Brook breathes life into many ukulele festivals in the Pacific Northwest. A wonderful instructor and performer, and for many years the co-organizer of Uketoberfest in Eugene, OR. Brook was very influential in the early days of Mya-Moe, and was one of the first to try out our Soprano sized ukulele. here.
