We are pleased that Eddie Vedder has taken his newly aquired Mya-Moe Myrtle Tenor ukulele on his current tour to support his latest album entitled "Ukulele Songs." He has been seen performing "Sleepless Nights" as a vocal duet with Glen Hansard, accompanying the duo with his Mya-Moe! Don't miss his show if his tour happens to stop near you!

Florence covers this gorgeous song by Beruit, accompanied by Rob Ackroyd playing their brand new Mya-Moe Koa Tenor Tradition. Live @ The Greek Theatre.

Earlier in the day, we got to meet the band & crew at an afternoon soundcheck. Rob, Florence & Isabella all now own Mya-Moe's and on the spot, decided to add this song into their evening set - no sound check, no rehearsal. They are all wonderful and the evening concert was just spectacular. If you haven't had an opportunity to see Florence + the Machine, look for them on this tour!

We'll be buildling instruments for the remaining band members in the coming months and hopefully hooking up with them again on the road soon! A huge thank you to the band and crew for treating us like part of the family!

We first ran into Jesse when he was touring with Mt. Desolation in the fall of 2010. He also plays bass with Keane, and seems to have more music projects going on than we can count! We just love Jesse's attitude about music & the ukulele. Read more about him here.

We're very excited to be working on an equal basis with Aaron Keim. In addition to bringing his own skill set in instrument design and construction (Bean Sprout Banjos & Ukuleles), he is an outstanding professional musician (Boulder Acoustic Society, The Quiet American) who is constantly pushing the boundaries of our ukuleles.

We started working with Aaron over a year ago as we collaborated building two ukuleles. That was such a great and fulfilling experience, that we started working more closely with Aaron on a new series of Mya-Moe Ukuleles: The Black Stripe Series. Those instruments have received critical acclaim from both professional musicians and customers. At the same time, Aaron's contributions have broadened into the design of new models (hint of things to come!) and pushing the design of our existing instruments.

Given this experience, it seemed natural to fully integrate Aaron into Mya-Moe. In doing this, one of our goals was to reduce the wait time for a Mya-Moe, at least for some specific models.

We're eliminating the Black Stripe Series designation. We created it in order to highlight those specific instruments that Aaron helped build. But, he now works on some aspect of every instrument.

And, we've developed a specific set of options for the Tradition Models. This allows us to reduce the customization on the Traditions, and thus reduce the wait time.

While we unfortunately couldn't attend the NYC Ukulele Festival this year, Mya-Moe was well represented on stage. Thanks to Mark Dutton for sharing these pictures here.
