Craig Chee

"Gordon & Char's instruments inspire me to be a better musician. I feel really blessed to have such a great opportunity to be part of the creative process on making such fine instruments! I'm excited to see & hear how not only the sound of my playing will improve but the understanding & appreciation of that building process too."

Born & raised in Honolulu, Hawai'i, Craig was influenced by many different types of music & has had just as much experience with different instruments, including piano, cello & guitar, as well as performing in musical theater & various choirs. He started taking his ukulele playing seriously near the end of high school & has since studied under various mentors, from the Roy Sakuma Studio, to Troy Fernandez & Jake Shimabukuro. A few of Craig's favorite things about the ukulele is how portable & versatile it is. Craig has loved teaching a large assortment of ukulele lovers over the past 4 years & hopes to be performing & teaching for many more years to come. Craig has extremely high standards for playbility & feel, and as a result of his input we made significant changes to the neck & headstock of our instruments.
