Thought you might like this picture of me and the instrument. I am just amazed by the sound of this ukulele. I use a Peterson Stroboclip to tune and it is spot on all up the neck. Phenomonal. Char, this picture was taken at an art retreat, where it was referred to as a "work of art".
- New Artists
Aug 29, 2011
We’re proud to have both Gerald Ross and Dan Tyminski playing our ukuleles.
We first met Gerald 3 years ago, and catch up with him at nearly every ukulele festival. He is a wonderful teacher and a great performer, with a great sense of humor. Look for him at an upcoming festival!
Dan Tyminski is an incredibly versatile performer and musician. He’s known for “Man of Constant Sorrow” from the movie “O Brother Where Art Thou?” and also for his part in the band Union Station which plays with Alison Krauss.
You can check out their artist pages here.

- Website Overhaul!
Aug 11, 2011
Since we do all our own website developement, we're thrilled at the positive comments that we receive. But, we always are striving to make it better. As we've grown, our home page has gotten pretty busy, and we now have over 500 "active" visitors each day--those are unique daily visitors that come back to our site often. Here's what we've already done and what we'll be doing over the coming days:
* designing a consolidated "owner info" page (done)
* updating the ordering page which links to an orders FAQ page (done)
* developing an entusiast landing page (in test). This is designed for the frequent vistor to bookmark, rather than our home page. Take a look at it and contact us with any input & feedback.
* created a new page for our signature features (done)
* designing a page for "the mya-moe experience" to help new visitors understand what it's like to work with us (first draft very soon)
* simplifying the home page (a few days away)
* refining our menus--moving some items around and eliminating pages that aren't visited often (a few days away)
* updating our wood pages (weeks)
* updating the way our gallery works (weeks)
* updating our artist page (weeks)
What started off as a "let's simplify the home page" has turned into a relatively huge project. But, we think the results will be worth the effort!
